Anyways this particular Edition of the newsletter we’ll be talking about Burnout
Feeling burnt out? It's not just a case of being tired -
Burnout is a serious state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by long-term, chronic stress. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, and lacking motivation, and can even cause physical symptoms like fatigue, insomnia, and illness.
While it can happen in any setting where you're under chronic stress, it's especially common in high-stress careers like healthcare, teaching, banking and finance, and social work
But beware - burnout is more severe and persistent than normal stress or fatigue, and it can seriously affect your physical and mental health. Don't ignore the warning signs .
Its the new year, Tensions are high, Everyone is reinventing themself and giving a 150%, its easy to overwork yourself and end up Take a deep breath, identify where exactly you are and create a road map to getting you back on your feet.
After not being able to work on my side business (which by the way is creating written content on the internet) for about two or three days. I was able to retrace my step back kick starting my morning routine and help me with clarity.
But Here are 5 practical steps you can take to try to alleviate the symptoms and improve your overall well-being:
Identify the sources of stress in your job: Take some time to reflect on what is causing you to feel burnt out.
Set boundaries: It's important to set limits on your time and energy, both at work and outside of work. This might mean saying no to additional projects or responsibilities (if you can 😂)
Practice stress management techniques: such as deep breathing, meditation, exercise, or talking to a therapist. Find what works best for you and make it a regular part of your routine.
Seek support: It's important to have a support system to help you through times of stress. This might include talking to friends and family, seeking the help of a therapist or counselor, or joining a support group.
Take time off: If you're feeling particularly burnt out, it may be helpful to take a break from work, if you can apply for leave during this time.
